LJ Whitehead

LJ Whitehead is a jewelry designer who has been designing jewelry since the age of 10. As a child, LJ had always been fascinated with geology and the natural formations of mineral rock compounds found on the earth.  Now a business owner, she has been able to convert her childhood interests and passions into a successful entrepreneurial opportunity.  Gifted at combining the colors found in nature, LJ has mastered the art of designing jewelry using semi-precious stones to accessorize today’s fashion trends.  In 2006, LJ introduced her line of jewelry Shine!  Whether you enjoy wearing large pieces, or prefer your jewelry small and delicate, her latest line of Shine!  will allow you to express your personality and style.

LJ is also a prolific poet and has written and published many works.  LJ holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Human Resources certification from the University of Phoenix; and has worked as a Human Resources Professional.

Prior to designing jewelry, LJ worked as a skilled interior decorator.  She founded her company, Designs Unlimited in 1987 and has decorated many homes, offices, restaurants and hotels.  The transition from designing homes to jewelry has been personally very rewarding for LJ, because she believes that her eclectic artisan is a gift from God, an expression of inner-beauty that can be worn and appreciated outwardly.  When you wear her pieces, you will get your chance to Shine!
